It all started for us in 1990 when a customer of ours in Golden, Colorado asked if we had a source for a more reliable pressure operated steam condensate pump cycle counter. They were using a pump cycle counter to calculate the steam usage in different building's on the campus as well as to establish a reliable maintenance history.

What we found was that no one else offered a cycle counter that was suitable for the application. We looked into why these counters were failing and came to the conclusion that the design really wasn't suitable for the reliable use on steam. We researched sources for components that were better suited for the application and developed the first electronic digital cycle counter for steam operated condensate pumps.

Over the past 35 years we have sold thousands of Poudre Instrument Cycle Counters to customers worldwide for use with all brands of this type of pump.
